This might have been the world's worst photo session which is saying a lot coming from a mom trying to photography three rambunctious boys. I'm just putting that out there before we get to the pattern details. I did my best to try and crop the
I myself, love a good boatneck t-shirt so I was terribly excited when Melissa said she had one she needed tested. The Beachy Boatneck is 1 of 4 boy patterns being released in the Sun and Surf Collection. I reviewed the Coastal Cargos yesterday.
The Beachy Boatneck is a great "new to knits" pattern because it a) has so few pieces and b) since the shirt has a faced neckline, it means no fussing around with ribbing. The wide neckline and 3/4 sleeves are perfect for Spring or evening strolls on the beach.
And here's where the photo shoot is shot. S insisted having his hands in his pockets (can't blame him really, it's COLD) thus causing the lovely double topstitched hem to curl up each time.
And the world's worst thing . . . the. sun. was. in .his. eyes. You'd think the kids been living in a cave for the last 6 months.
Alright, we live in Scandinavia which is sort of like living in a cave 8 months out of the year. I hear ya' kid.
The sun is evil. It's out to get you, you're totally right.
And complete defeat. The sun won this day but at least the shirt is cute.
Update: The Beachy Boatneck is now available to purchase through the Blank Slate Patterns as well as Go To Pattern shops.
