Sew In Tune: Sew Country Chick

Today we the the amazing, Justine of Sew Country Chick.  Justine lives with her five darling children in the most beautiful farm house.  Her blog is all about sewing, crafting, and living a handmade life in this modern, crazy world.  She loves to sew, especially vintage inspired clothing. Reading up about life on the farm; their chickens, garden, and all of the yummy looking products they make "the old fashioned way" is always fun.  But don't let this make you think Justine is behind the times.  This lady is way hipper than I'll ever be.  Case in point- today's LMFAO inspired outfit.

Hi I'm Justine from Sew Country Chick and so excited to be sharing Gigi's look for Sew In Tune!
My song for Sew In Tune is The Party Rock Anthem by LMFAO.
We love dancing to their songs!
I used to be quite the party rocking girl myself, but nowadays I'm more likely to be shufflin' with my kids in the kitchen on a Friday night over at the Sew Country Ranch.
My party rocking days may be over but Gigi's are just beginning!
You Go Girl!

I made the pants by altering a legging pattern I drafted and by refashioning a t shirt from Joann with some clever cutting and words cut out with my silhouette machine.

And if you are wondering why the kid is barefoot..... I made these sparkled Tom's with Mod Podge and glitter to go with the outfit but one fell out of our stroller!

There is our inspiration RedFoo from LMFAO on the left. He wears a lot of funky t shirts, wild animal prints and yes, those funny glasses with no lenses!

Gigi even had a little fur vest to complete her LMFAO look but would she wear it at the photo shoot? Of course not!

We took these photos down at the Venice Beach boardwalk... you may have seen the LMFAO video, "I'm Sexy And I Know It" that was filmed here. Venice is a little freaky and a little funky. And I pretty much grew up roller discoing myself down there.

Holy Cow!

Goodbye from Gigi's Party Rock sisters and mom!
If you would like to see how I made this outfit, stop by my blog.
Thanks for having me Stacy and Melissa !
And to see the Party Rock Anthem, which is HILARIOUS check out the video below.

Thank you so much for joining us today, Justine.  I seriously need a pair of those leggings for myself.

Don't forget, if you haven't linked up to the Sew In Tune Flickr Group, make sure you do by March 3rd.  Those prizes are burning a whole in my pocket!  For more party rockin' and handmade loveliness, click on over to Sew Country Chick.
