Boys Will Be Boys . . . So Wrap Up Their Toys

Now that you've gotten a few ideas for hand made gifts, it's time to start thinking about how to wrap those presents.I know my boys want to just rip into those presents under the tree, but seeing as how their idea of Christmas morning wake up time is WAY different from mine, they (hopefully) spend quite a few minutes staring at those presents before mommy and daddy make it down the stairs. Keeping the kids interested in the wrappings is the best defense I've come up with for distracting them from ripping the paper right off. I've been working on a secret little round up of creative Christmas packaging options, that I'm revealing to you today.

Here are my favorites in no particular order:

1.  Chalkboard Wrapping Paper  2.  Pencil Eraser Patterns  3.  Drift Wood Paper  4.  Santa Letter Sack
5.  Humorous Notes  6.  Christmas Character Tubes  7.  Recycled Map Paper  8.  Word Search Name Paper  9.  Lego Mini-figure Wrapping Paper

I've many more boy friendly wrapping ideas on my formerly "secret" pin board which is now open for your perusal.  Click here to see all of the pins.

For a bit more excitement (I know, can you stand it?), I bring you today's giveaway from Fancie Fannies.
Fancie Fannies is offering one lucky winner, a 30 dollar gift certificate for her shop which sells the most darling wooden toys.  My most favorite? Her extensive line of hand painted peg people.  Any character you can imagine is found here and if you don't see what you're looking for, she does custom orders.  But you'll find a whole lot more over here than just peg dolls.

To enter to win go over to Fancie Fannies and then come back and leave me a comment telling me what you'd spend the $30 dollars on in her shop.

  4. I'd have to put it toward getting a nativity set ... my kids need one they are allowed to play with so they'll leave my ceramic set alone! lol
