Ninja Applique

C has been asking for a ninja shirt for a long time now.  When I saw that our local H and M was having a big summer sale, I knew it was time to keep my part of the bargain.  The bargain being, I make him a ninja shirt and he becomes "Silent Like Ninja".  I'm not sure where that saying came from but I like it.

I really don't know why it took me so long to take care of this order, since it really was the world's easiest applique.

All it took was two 4 inch pieces of wool felt and three shapes; circle, oval, triangle.

I embroidered two eyes using a french knot for each and since I used no sew fusible interfacing, I didn't even need to Satin stitch the edges.  I've never let an applique go without stitching the edges so I'm a little nervous for repeated washing but the packaging says it will hold.

Just in case you have a ninja lover in your house, I've included the doc. below.  Just print, cut out each shape on 100% wool fleece and fusible interfacing.

Ninja Applique

If the bargain works, there'll be two more in the works.
