Wednesday's Wickedly Awesome- Pick Up Some Creativity

First of all, I just want to give a big thank you to my new blogger friend Chris from Pick Up Some Creativity.  Chris e-mailed me this week to let me know that the word verification thingy wasn't working and therefore no one was able to leave a comment.  I'm so sorry if you've tried commenting lately without sucess.  I so enjoy receiving your comments and e-mails so please, please continue.  It makes my day.  Really.  It gives me such joy that someone is actually following along on this crazy, crafty journey of life.

On the bright side, because of Chris' comments, I now know about her great blog.

I love, love this Science Discovery Sensory Toy

And if you've been reading for a while you know that anything organizational for the playroom will always float my boat.  Check out Chris' tutorial for a Hanging Matchbox Organizer

And who wouldn't love an easy access resource for sewing.  Check out Sewing 101.  I know where I'll be going to get my sewing advice from now on.

Thanks again, Chris for the head's up.

Now on to our regularly scheduled Wednesday feature:

With a house full of boys who, while they love books, tend to destroy them just for the fact that we read our favorites over and over again.  If you have the same kind of children, you may be interested in Katie's (Notes From a Very Red Kitchen) tutorial for making Toddler Memory Books.  As a teacher, homemade books thrill me to no end.  As a mother, I see how practical and cost effective these little treasures are.  On the crafty-goodness to make some day list they go.

I've been following Katie's blog for a while now and boy is it great!  Check out her Alphabet Bean Bag Tutorial and get this---she made a child's easel from a CRIB!  How ingenious is that? Crib Easel.  Who would've thunk?

So much good stuff out there!
