I've wanted one of these pillows for a long time. I've seen a similar style on several different sites. It is not technically quilted because I didn't use any batting. Each leaf is appliqued and then stitched with a simple zig-zag.
I was trying for a Weeping Willow kind of look. Not sure I acheived that, but I love the Sweetwater for Moda fabric that I picked for the tree trunk and branches.
As is usually the case with sisters, one makes a much bolder statement than the other.
We can't all be brassy, red heads! I personally like the Weeping Willow best which may tell you a bit about me. I go for a more subtle beauty.
